4.0-magnitude quake strikes off Eastern Samar early Tuesday

(Eagle News) — A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Eastern Samar early Tuesday, Sept. 20.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 5:22 a.m.

The epicenter was 58 kilometers northeast of San Policarpo.

The depth of focus was 24 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
