33 more police personnel recover from COVID-19

Thirty-three more police personnel have recovered from COVID-19, the PNP said./PNP/

(Eagle News)–Thirty-three more police personnel have recovered from COVID-19.

The Philippine National Police said with the addition, the total number of recoveries in the PNP rose to 5,666 as of Monday night.

Sixty-two more COVID-19 cases pushed the total to 6,471.

Of these, 785 were active cases.

No additional death was reported, which means the death toll remains at 20.

PNP Chief Cascolan has said police personnel are among the country’s frontliners amid the COVID-19 pandemic, noting the need to protect them.

The PNP has inked an agreement with the Makati Medical Center to ensure their health.

Cascolan said policemen on duty during the modified enhanced community quarantine and enhanced community quarantine imposed in parts of the country as part of measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 were entitled to hazard pay.
