(Eagle News)–Residents took part in the metrowide earthquake drill early Saturday, July 27.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chair Danilo Lim, MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia and Department of Science and Technology Undersecretary Renato Solidum Jr. led the ceremonial pressing of the button that marked the start of the drill at 4 a.m.
The drill took place as a series of real earthquakes shook Batanes, with the highest being of a 6.4 magnitude.
The latest earthquake was at 11:19 a.m.
