Stockport, England (Eagle News) — On July 30, 2016, the members of the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo) hosted its first ever INCinema event in Europe at the Plaza in Stockport in the north of England. It was the Church’s first Awards giving ceremony in Excellence in Visual Media, also known as the EVM awards, outside of the Philippines.

A total of four films were entered from the Districts of Northern Europe, Southern Europe and the United Kingdom. All entries were original films produced by the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo and aimed to promote and show the importance of good Christian Values, reaching out to the whole Christian Family Organisation. Each film had such positive and emotional reactions from the audience which showed such support, love and unity of the Brotherhood.

Hundreds of members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo flew in from all over Europe — from Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and France — and travelled many hours across the United Kingdom to attend this special red carpet event. The event was also attended by the Europe Main Office coordinator Brother Pepito Acuesta, together with many ministers from Europe.
There were spectacular performances of singing and dancing throughout the event from the talented members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s Production Company, who performed numbers such as ‘Soldier of Christ’, ‘Each Day’ and ‘Happy Victory’.

It truly was a blessed day for all cast and crew of each film as all districts in Europe took home awards. However it was the film entry of the District of the United Kingdom entitled “THANKFUL” that snapped up awards for Best Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actress, Best Director, Best Editor and Best Film.
It was an amazing and extremely blessed day for the Iglesia Ni Cristo and the visitors from Europe as the EVM Awards was truly a success!
