YEDW winner empowers the youth and women entrepreneurs

The noble statement is from Miss Helen Kaye Layco, a 26-year old young woman, an advocate of women empowerment, an innovative entrepreneur, and a former New Era University student.
 
She won in the recently concluded Youth Entrepreneurship Development Workshops, a project of The Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship in partnership with the US Embassy in Manila.

Miss Layco, who competed in the Existing Business Category of the YEDW, is a former NEU Industrial Engineering student. She is also a certified Industrial Engineer, having passed the licensure examinations.

 At present and at her young age, Miss Layco is already the Chief Executive Officer of SAM Holdings Inc., a company which manages various brands of beauty and wellness products and services. This includes Macho Mucho Salon for Men, Snoe Beauty Inc., Crown and Glory Hairgrower line, and Get Lucky Fragrances.

She is one proud Eran, she emphasized during the YEDW that she graduated from New Era, and that the products of her Alma Mater is now able to compete with graduates from other prestigious schools in the country and abroad.

Competing in the YEDW made her appreciate the importance of adapting one’s business structure to customer requirements  without compromising the business essence.
