Visiting Forces Agreement between the Philippines and the United States

Agreement o VFA sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa. In 1992, the United States of America removed its military bases in the Philppines. In 1999, the two countries signed the Visiting Forces Agreement or VFA.

Under the said agreement, American troops are allowed to use the military facilities of our country. Also included are the rules of conduct of military personnel in the military exercises.

The VFA provided huge benefits to the Philippines, including security and humanitarian aid. But recently, another crime that involves an American soldier became headline news.
