QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — House of the Representatives Deputy Speaker Romero Quimbo called the proposed vanity tax on beauty products and services as “gender-biased”.
Quimbo said that today, cosmetic and beauty products are considered a necessity for women. He said that the proposed tax would be biased against women because they are the ones who frequently use cosmetics and beauty products.
