UP’s Bright Akhuetie named MVP; Ateneo’s Kouame is Rookie of the Year

(Eagle News)–University of the Philippines’ Bright Akhuetie was named the Most Valuable Player by the  University Athletic Association of the Philippines.

The UAAP also named Ateneo’s Angelo Kouame  as Rookie of the Year, with statistical points of 76.21.

According to the UAAP,  the Mythical Five is comprised of  Akhuetie (UP), Justine Baltazar (Dela Salle University), Alvin Pasaol (University of the East), Jerrick Ahanmisi (Adamson University), and Juan Gomez De Liaño (UP).

Named Rookie of the Year in the women’s division was Reynalyn Ferrer of the University of Sto. Tomas, while Malu Irebu also of UST was MVP.

The Mythical Five in the women’s division is composed of Clare Castro (Far Eastern University), Malu Irebu (UST), Jack Daniel Animam (National University), Misaela Larosa (UST), and Nathalie Prado (AdU).
