Tugade fires LTO Tarlac chief linked to drugs

(Eagle News)–Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade has fired the head of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Tarlac province.

In a statement, Tugade said  he dismissed Rodel Yambao on Thursday, May 17, through an order coursed through LTO head Edgar Galvante after he was charged with possession of illegal drugs and a grenade.

This was after a search of his house yielded nine sachets of suspected shabu, a grenade and bullets.

“If you are involved in corruption, such as in illegal drugs and I will be there was a lot of drugs, then I will kick you out,” Tugade said.

Yambao is currently detained in a Tarlac jail.
