Trillanes says he wouldn’t know if his mother had dealings with the Navy; says he was in high school when his father was in service

(Eagle News)—Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Tuesday, Sept. 11, did not directly answer President Rodrigo Duterte’s latest allegations against him, saying instead that he would not know if his  mother had dealings with the Philippine Navy as he was a high school student when his father was in the Navy.

Duterte had said Trillanes’ mother engaged in business  with the Navy while Trillanes and his father were in the naval service.

“Ang mother ko ay 84 years old na. May advance stage ng Parkinson’s disease. Hindi ko maisip kung bakit ida-drag ni Mr. Duterte aking magulang dito sa laban namin,” Trillanes said instead.

He added his mother raised them properly and was not facing cases.

“Siguro kung may kurakot man sa kanila e kurakot din ako pero hindi,” Trillanes said.
