Trillanes: PNP, AFP took away my police, military security personnel

(Eagle News)–Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has accused the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police of taking away his security detail without any explanation.

Trillanes said his military and police escorts were no longer detailed to him effective end of June.

According to the PNP,  the non-renewal of the police personnel was in compliance with the Alunan doctrine, which says that more than two security personnel  was tantamount to a private army.

This was provided in a  PNP Memo dated December 15, 2016, the PNP said.
