Temperature in Baguio City drops to 12.5 degrees C; Metro Manila also experiences colder mornings

(Eagle News) — The temperature in Baguio City on Friday, January 18 dropped to 12.5 degrees Celsius while the temperature in Metro Manila also remained relatively low at 20.4 degrees Celsius

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration recorded the temperature at 12.5 degrees Celsius around 5:00 AM, which is colder than the temperature that was recorded at 14 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the temperature in Metro Manila has increased.

According to PAGASA, it recorded the temperature at 20.4 degrees Celcius at 6:00 AM which was even colder than last year’s recorded low temperature of 20.5 degrees Celsius on February 7.

On Thursday, the weather bureau recorded an even colder 19 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila, which is the lowest temperature recorded so far in the National Capital Region this month.

A 20 degrees Celsius temperature was also recorded in Tuguegarao, slightly higher than the temperature recorded at 19 degrees Celsius yesterday.

PAGASA also said that the temperature is expected to further drop due to the northeast monsoon or amihan.
