SWS: 72 percent of Filipinos satisfied with Duterte admin performance

(Eagle News)–The administration of President Rodrigo Duterte kept its very good net satisfaction rating, with 72 percent of Filipinos satisfied with their performance, a recent Social Weather Stations survey said.

The SWS said the +58 net satisfaction rating of the Duterte administration, with 15% neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, and 13% dissatisfied, was similar to the very good +58 (69% satisfied, 11% dissatisfied) in March 2018.

“The steady net satisfaction rating of the Duterte Administration from March 2018 to June 2018 was due to increases in net satisfaction in Mindanao and Balance Luzon, combined with decreases in Metro Manila and Visayas,” the SWS said.

The  administration’s net satisfaction rating remained at excellent in Mindanao.

This was up by 4 points, from the +72 in March 2018 to +76 in June 2018.

In Balance Luzon, the admin’s rating  stayed at very good, an increase of 4 points from the +50 in March 2018 to +54 in June 2018.

In Metro Manila though, the admin’s rating fell by one grade from very good to good, down by 11 points from the +58 it got in March 2018.

The SWS said its rating stayed at very good in the Visayas, “hardly moving from the +57 in March 2018 to +56 in June 2018.”

As for rural and urban net satisfaction,  the first stayed at very good, up by 14 points from +53 in March 2018; while the second  fell by one grade, from very good to good, down by 14 points from +63 in March 2018.

Net satisfaction with the administration  rose by one grade from very good to excellent in class ABC, the SWS said.

It said this was up by 25 points from +56 in March 2018.

Among members of class E,  rating was up by 8 points from +54 in March 2018 to +62 in June 2018.

It also remained at very good in class Dalthough it was down by 2 points from +58 in March 2018 to +56 in June 2018.

Governance card

The net satisfaction rating of the administration was very good  in the following: building and maintenance of public works (+62), reconstructing Marawi City (+55), promoting the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs)(+55), helping the poor (+54), and promoting women’s rights (+52).

It was good in the following: Protecting human rights (+48), transparency in government activities (+43), having clear policies (+40), fighting terrorism(+39), ensuring that no family will ever be hungry(+39), foreign relations (+39), fighting crimes(+37), ensuring an efficient public transportation system (+36), fulfilling commitments in international treaties (+33), deciding quickly(+33), reconciling with Muslim rebels (+31), and eradicating graft and corruption (+30).

It was moderate on reconciling with communist rebels (+27) and defending the Philippine sovereignty in West Philippine Sea (+20), and neutral on fighting inflation (+1).
