Some Marawi soldiers also affected by dengue, malaria, leptospirosis, dog bites

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – The military revealed that some soldiers who are now in the final phase of military operations in Marawi City were affected by dengue, malaria, leptospirosis and even dog bites.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines, however, assured that they were capable of giving aid to soldiers who were wounded or who fell ill in the city.

AFP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla said that there are aid stations in the main battlefield that are taking care not only of the soldiers wounded by bullets and shrapnel, but also those afflicted with dengue and malaria.
