(Eagle News)–Seven to eight Cabinet members will resign to run in the 2019 elections.
This is according to Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, who gave a television interview on Thursday, Oct. 4.
“Sa ngayon, siguradong si Secretary (Harry) Roque ay tatakbong senador pero sa ngayon tignan natin kasi meron ding mga kasamahan natin na kinakausap si Secretary Roque na huwag na lang tumakbo kasi kailangan siya sa Communications,” Andanar said.
He, however, did not specify if Roque was included in the figure.
Neither did he identify the Cabinet members.
On Wednesday, Oct. 3, Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson announced her resignation, saying she did not want to be a burden to the office, whose budget was reportedly being withheld because of her.
Uson said she has not yet decided if she would run in the next polls.
