September is National Teachers’ Month

QUEZON City, Philippines – Who is your most memorable teacher? Is it the terror who makes the whole class tremble in fear just by entering the classroom? Is it the comedy king or queen who makes students laugh because of their jokes during lectures? Or is it the cool one who treats his or her students as peers?

Whatever their teaching styles and techniques, we cannot deny that our teachers play an important role in our lives. They are our second parents. They give us knowledge and important life lessons.

Have you said “thank you” to your teachers?

The month of September is dedicated to our teachers, in recognition of their vital contributions to  our country’s progress and development.

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 242, series of 2011, the period of September 5 to October 5 of every year is declared as the National Teachers’ Month.

Guided by the theme, “Gurong Pilipino: Kaakbay sa Progreso,” the celebration calls for everyone who had been a student to express their gratitude to their teachers.
