Sara Duterte, Mar Roxas included in Pulse Asia’s recent list of “probable winners” in senatorial polls

(Eagle News)–Senator Grace Poe is likely to top the senatorial elections should they be held around this time, a recent Pulse Asia survey showed.

According to the survey conducted from Sept. 1 to 7, Poe garnered a voter preference of 70.1 percent, making her the only individual in the top spot.

In second to third place was Senator Cynthia Villar, who got a voter preference of 57.7 percent.

Rep. Pia Cayetano occupies the second to fourth places (54.4 percent), Senator Nancy Binay the third to fourth statistical ranking (50.6 percent), and Davao Mayor Sara Duterte the fifth to sixth places (39.5 percent).

Senator Edgardo Angara Jr. was in fifth to seventh places (37.1 percent), and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada the sixth to tenth places (34.6 percent).

Sharing seventh to eleventh places were Gov. Imee Marcos (32.6 percent), Senator Koko Pimentel (32.4 percent) and former Senator Lito Lapid (32.2 percent).

Former Senator Sergio Osmeña was in eighth to seventeenth places (29.8 percent).

In the list of probable winners are former Senator Mar Roxas (27.7 percent), Robin Padilla (27.4 percent), former Senator Bong Revilla (27.4 percent), Ramon Tulfo (27 percent), Bureau of Corrections director Ronald dela Rosa (27 percent) and Senator JV Ejercito (26.7 percent).

They are all tied for the 11th to 17th places.

According to Pulse Asia, 49 percent of Filipinos already have a complete slate for the Senate.

The survey was conducted via face-to-face interviews of 1,800 adults aged at least 18 years old.

Error margins were  pegged at +2 percent at the 95 percent confidence level, with +6 percent for Metro Manila, +3 percent for the rest of Luzon and +5 percent for Visayas and Mindanao.
