Rains to prevail in some areas as northeast monsoon affects PHL

(Eagle News)–Rains will continue to be prevail over some areas as the northeast monsoon affects the country.

In its weather forecast on Wednesday, Feb. 13, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said cloudy skies with light rains will be experienced over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Aurora.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, on the other hand, are expected over Abra, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao , Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.

Moderate to strong winds coming from the east to northeast will prevail over Cagayan Valley and Aurora, and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, PAGASA said.

Meanwhile, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the northeast over the rest of Northern Luzon, which PAGASA said would have  slight to moderate waters.

According to PAGASA, Visayas, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro will also experience partly cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from thet northeast will prevail over Eastern Visayas, which will experience moderate to rough seas.

Light to moderate winds from the northeast will prevail over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Visayas with have slight to moderate waters, PAGASA said.
