Another “person of interest” in Bulacan massacre, killed

(Eagle News) — Another one of the persons of interest in the killing of an entire family in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan has been killed.

Rosario, the mother of Roosevelt Turima, alias “Ponga,” said in a radio interview that two men wearing masks entered their house in Barangay Sto. Cristo around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, and shot him.

Turima was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead.

“Hindi adik yan kasi kung adik yan, pinabayaan na ang kaniyang mga anak,” she said.

Turima’s death comes days after Ronald Pacinos or “Inggo” was found dead near the subdivision where Auring Dizon, 58; her daughter Estrella Carlos, 28; and her children Donnie, 11; Ella, 7 and Dexter Jr., 1; were murdered before dawn on Tuesday, June 27.

The two women had also been raped.

Turima’s death also comes on the same day the five victims were laid to rest.

Carmelino Ibanez, a suspect in the killing who was arrested by the police, had implicated “Inggo” and one “Tony” in the commission of the crime.

A third “person of interest” Alvin Mabesa was also reportedly abducted by armed men after the massacre of the five members of the family.

President Rodrigo Duterte visited the wake of the victims on Tuesday night, and offered his condolences to Dexter Carlos, Carlos’ husband.

The President offered him money amounting to P275000 in financial assistance.

He said the bereaved security guard had also been offered a unit by the National Housing Authority.
