President Duterte reiterates vow to set up 24-hour “complaint” hotline for the public

(Eagle News) – President Rodrigo Duterte reiterated his promise to establish a hotline which people can call to report their grievances and complaints.

Duterte said that he already asked telecommunication companies such as SMART and Globe the number 8888 to be designated as a hotline.

(If you have a complaint, it’s there in Malacanang, if you have been abused, if you were taken advantage of, if you find something you don’t like in government, just call day or night.  The important problems I see, I will immediately act on it) ,” Duterte said during his solidarity dinner Thursday with the poor people of Tondo’s slums.

Just tell me the truth. ‘wag kayong mag-imbento ng istorya. (If I will not call the mayor, I’ll call your  barangay captain and the police.  If you have a complaint against the police, just call me.  But just don’t lie.  Don’t make up stories,” said the country’s new chief executive.
