MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte said that he had ordered the Department of Justice (DOJ) to create a team consisting of excellent lawyers and accountants to investigate and find out who benefited from the multi-million peso Yolanda fund.
Duterte said that the donations which came from different countries should be accounted for. He also gave instructions to find out if the Yolanda fund was used in money laundering.
Earlier, President Duterte expressed disappointed after finding out that thousands of Yolanda survivors remain homeless because the permanent homes built for them by the previous administration were substandard and did not have provisions for power and water
