QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) – Police on Sunday, November 5, arrested the wife of one of the leaders of the Maute Group in Barangay Tubod, Iligan city along with her six children.
Philippine National Police Region X Director Timothy Bacled said the woman, Minhati Madrais, is the wife of Omar Maute.
Madrais is an Indonesian national and was arrested after the PNP and the military conducted a raid on her rented house in Steelmakers’ Village in Iligan City.
The arresting officers were able to recover bomb paraphernalia in the said house. Madrais is holding an expired Indonesian passport.
