PHL opens Asiad stint with dominant win over Kazakhstan

(Eagle News) — The Philippines crushed Kazakhstan, 96-59,  in its opening match in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia on  Thursday, Aug. 16.

This was even without NBA player Jordan Clarkson, who arrived in Jakarta on the same day.

It was Stanley Pringle who led the scoring parade for the Filipinos, with 18 points.

Christian Standhardinger scored 15, and James Yap, 12.

Paul Lee contributed 10 points, and Chris Tiu nine.

The Philippines will face off with China on Aug. 21.
