(Eagle News) — Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo Lazatin II on Tuesday, Nov. 13, denied he owned the sport utility vehicle that figured in a road rage incident in Angeles.

In the first place, Lazatin said based on the viral video that showed the Toyota FJ Cruiser in a heated exchange with a motorist in Balibago, the SUV’s plate number was issued to members of the 16th Congress.

He said he was only recently elected congressman, and the 17th Congress has not yet issued plate numbers.

His father, Carmelo Lazatin, he said, also served in the 14th and 15th Congress, not the 16th.

He noted that his 16-year-old son could also not be the driver of the SUV.
