Classes in public schools, SUCs suspended starting 12 noon on the same day, Palace adds
(Eagle News) –The Palace has announced half-day work for the people in government nationwide on Wednesday.
According to Memorandum Circular No. 43, classes in public schools, state colleges and universities are also cancelled starting 12 noon on that same day.
“However, those government agencies whose functions involve law enforcement, response action to disasters and calamities, and/or performance of other vital services shall make available standby services/arrangements to meet any contingencies,” the memo signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said.
The memo said the suspension of work in other branches of government and independent bodies, and in private companies, was “left to the sound discretion of their respective administrators.”
