(Eagle News)–Senator Manny Pacquiao wants Davao Mayor Sara Duterte to run for senator in 2019.
In a radio interview, Pacquiao said this was because he feels she would be able to do a lot in the Senate because of her political will.
“Na-manage nga niya nang maayos ang Davao City eh…,” he said.
He said the presidential daughter could also help outside the Senate.
Earlier, Senator Panfilo Lacson said that among the “fresh, new, young” faces in national politics, the Davao mayor stands out because of her political will and other traits.
Lacson said the presidential daughter was progressive-minded, vibrant and strong-willed, among others.
As such, he said for him, she was the best choice as the next leader of the country.
