Pacquiao elected chair of Senate committee on ethics

(Eagle News) — Senator Manny Pacquiao is now the chair of the Senate’s committee on ethics.

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian was also elected a member of the panel that covers the actions of senators and the reputation of the Senate in general.

Pacquiao replaced now-Senate President Tito Sotto, who, based on tradition, should no longer chair a committee and was now deemed a member of each panel.

Gatchalian replaced Pacquiao as member of the panel.
