(Eagle News) — Ozamiz City Councilor Ricardo “Ardot” Parojinog has been arrested.

Chief Supt. John Bulalacao, Philippine National Police spokesperson, said the younger brother of Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr., who, along with 15 others, was killed in a police operation in his house that yielded drugs and a cache of high-powered firearms last year, was arrested by Taiwan authorities after he tried to enter the country with illegal documents.

The younger Parojinog had been on the run since police raided those properties.

Bulalacao said the councilor’s arrest came days after the police raided his inn, Dottie’s Inn, and his MROP Security Agency in Pagadian City.

The search, he said, yielded a cache of high-powered firearms and illegal drugs as well.

The mayor’s children, Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog-Echavez, and Reynaldo Parojinog Jr., were arrested in last year’s raid.
