(Eagle News) — More than two hundred policemen may soon face the ax after the National Police Commission found they may have cheated in the entrance examination and submitted fake documents to enter the police service.
In a radio interview, Napolcom vice chairman Rogelio Casurao said more than 200 policemen had the same right and wrong answers, a “statistical improbability.”
Others who have been serving for “10 years, 15 years” submitted fake documents to enter the force in the first place, he said.
“We issued a circular voiding their eligibility,” he said.
Casurao said the Napolcom has been exerting efforts to professionalize the service, including introducing neurological examinations and periodic audits.
Only recently, National Capital Region Police Office chief Oscar Albayalde sacked the entire Caloocan Police force–except for two newly designated officials–following an incident that saw several policemen barging inside a house without a search warrant to steal cash and other valuables.
The incident came after a series of controversial operations that saw several boys killed.
