QUEZON City, Philippines – The government’s anti-poverty measures are bearing fruit. According to the latest study of the Philippine Statistics Authority, there are fewer poor Filipinos in 2015.
There is a 21.6% poverty incidence last year, lower by 4.7% compared to the poverty threshold in 2009. The percentage surpassed the government’s target for 2015.
