No classes in Naga, Bicol from Jan. 3 to 6

(Eagle News)–Classes in public and private schools in Naga, Bicol have been suspended starting Jan. 3.

In memorandum circular 2019-001, Mayor John Bongat said the suspension, which also applies to technical-vocational schools, was in view of the flooding caused by typhoon “Usman” that has affected “not only residents but also school campuses.”

“Reports have also reached this office about the massive flooding and damages caused by Typhoon Usman in neighboring municipalities, which will make it difficult for students residing in the areas  to attend classes in schools, colleges and universities locatedl in Naga City in the next few days,” he said.

He said classes will resume on Jan. 7.
