The National Food Authority said on Tuesday that Vietnam emerged as the lowest bidder for the contract to supply 800,000 metric tons of rice to the Philippines this year.
NFA spokesman Rex Estoperez said NFA would likely award the contract to import 800,000 metric tons of rice to Vietnam.
