(Eagle News) – President Rodrigo Duterte arrived at the Batasang Pambansa for his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) a few minutes before his speech scheduled at 4 p.m., on Monday, July 23, 2018.

He arrived via helicopter, and was welcomed by Pantaleon Alvarez, who was on the same day replaced by Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

Pampanga Rep. Arroyo was seen taking her oath as leader of the House of Representatives at the Speaker’s podium.

It was Alvarez, however, who was with the President in the holding room, along with Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
