Net satisfaction ratings of Robredo, other top officials drop in Q1, says SWS

(Eagle News) — The net satisfaction rating of Vice President Leni Robredo declined in the first quarter of 2018, according to the survey conducted by Social Weather Survey.

From her +42 net satisfaction ratings in December 2017, Robredo’s overall net satisfaction rating dropped down to 8 points, settling at +34 points which is still considered a “good” rating.

“The 8-point decline in the overall net satisfaction rating of Vice-Pres. Robredo was due to decreases of 21 points in Mindanao, 8 points in the Visayas, and 4 points in Balance Luzon, combined with a 1-point increase in Metro Manila,” the SWS said.

Robredo’s net satisfaction rating stayed moderate in Metro Manila, at +16 in March 2018, 2 points below +15 in December 2017.

It stayed good in Balance Luzon, at +38 in March 2018, 4 points below +42 in December 2017, the SWS said.

“However, it fell by one grade from good to moderate in Mindanao, at +26 in March 2018, down by 21 points from +47 in December 2017,” it said.

Robredo’s rating also fell by one grade from very good to good in the Visayas, at +47 in March 2018, down by 8 points from +55 in December 2017.

By socio-demographics, upgrade in Vice-Pres. Robredo’s net satisfaction rating from December 2017 to March 2018 occurred among 18-24 year olds (up from moderate +29 to good +34).

On the other hand, downgrades happened in overall urban areas (down from good +33 to moderate +25), among class ABCs (down by two grades from good +32 to neutral +3), among 25-34 year olds (down from good +36 to moderate +27), among 55 year olds and above (down from very good +52 to good +40), among high school graduates (down from good +40 to moderate+25), and among college graduates (down from good +30 to moderate +22), the SWS explained.

It stayed good but had a double-digit decline among 45-54 year olds, at +32 in March 2018, down by 12 points from +44 in December 2017, it said.

The SWS said that 23 % of the Filipino also said they were dissatisfied with the performance of Robredo.

Meanwhile, Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel also suffered an eight-point drop in his net satisfaction rating.

But, although down by 8 points, the Senate President stayed “good” at +41 personal record in March 2018.

Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno and Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez’ net satisfaction rating, on the other hand, had a double-digit decline in the latest survey.

The SWS survey also showed that the two officials rating decreased by 13 points.

Speaker Alvarez fell by one grade from moderate to neutral, at a personal record-low +1, while Sereno stayed neutral at -7 in March 2018 from her +6 rating in December 2017.

The survey was conducted from March 23-27, 2018 using face-to-face interviews to 1,200 adults nationwide.
