Wife also arrested
(Eagle News) — A National Democratic Front consultant and his wife were arrested in Cavite early Friday, Dec. 7.
But authorities said the arrest of Rey Casambre and his wife Patricia in Bacoor had nothing to do with their links to Communists.
According to the police, Casambre has pending warrants of arrest for murder and for attempted murder issued by local courts.
Also recovered from Casambre and his wife were one fragmentation grenade, one .45 cal. pistol, one magazine for a .45 cal. pistol, among others, the police said.
The two are now in police custody.
