MRT-3 to file separate raps vs woman behind taho-throwing incident

(Eagle News)—The Metro Rail Transit management is slated to file separate charges against the woman who splashed taho at a police officer at an MRT station on Saturday, Feb. 9.

The charges to have Jiale Zhang deported and declared an undesirable alien would be apart from the charges for direct assault, unjust vexation and disobedience to a person of authority earlier filed against her.

She has been subjected to inquest proceedings at the Mandaluyong Prosecutors Office.

Jiale threw taho at P01 William Cristobal, who was merely explaining to her the MRT ban on food and drinks, and a recent ban on liquids, that prevented them from allowing her to enter with her taho.

Vice President Leni Robredo said the incident was a “wakeup wake” to Filipinos, noting the alleged special treatment China received from the government that prompts some Chinese to disrespect their counterparts.
