(Eagle News)–The number-coding scheme for private vehicles is lifted from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority spokesperson Celine Pialago made the announcement in a message to reporters on Thursday, Dec. 20.
Las Pinas and Makati have so far yet to announce if the scheme was lifted in their areas on those days, however.
Pialago made the announcement shortly after the agency announced the scheme was lifted for provincial buses from Dec. 21 to Jan. 2.
Throngs of Filipinos are expected to go to the provinces during the holidays.
