150 families left homeless in Paco fire

MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — A fire razed a residential area in Paco, Manila, on Tuesday, leaving more than 150 families homeless.

Based on initial investigation by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started at 12:53 p.m.  in the house owned by Joey and Angela Trinidad on  R. Lanuza St. Osmeña Highway, Barangay 734, Zone 80.

As of the moment, the fire has already reached the fifth alarm and has not been declared out.

According to a resident in the area, the fire was started while the couple were quarreling.

The house which was made of light and combustible materials was easily devoured by the fire.

As of 3 p.m., the BFP said no casualties had been recorded.
