Makati court urged to order immigration bureau to issue HDO vs Peter Lim, others

(Eagle News) — The Department of Justice has asked a Makati court to direct the Bureau of Immigration to issue a hold departure order against  Peter Go Lim and several others recently indicted for drug trade conspiracy.

In an urgent ex-parte motion, the DOJ panel of prosecutors composed of Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Juan Pedro Navera, Assistant State Prosecutor Ana Noreen Devanadera, and Prosecution Attorney Herbert Calvin Abugan asked the Makati RTC Branch 67 to issue the order for the HDO also covering Kerwin Espinosa, Marcelo Adorco, Ruel Malindangan and several John Does.

The filing of the motion comes after the panel indicted Lim and the others for drug trade conspiracy after ruling “the drug themselves as corpus delicti of drug trading are not essential under Section 26” of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

According to Guevarra, Lim has returned to the country after his trip abroad in March. Moira Encina
