(Eagle News) — Social Welfare Assistant Secretary Lorraine Badoy has been appointed to the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
Undersecretary Emmanuel Leyco, officer in charge of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, confirmed her new appointment as undersecretary in the PCOO on Wednesday.
“…(She) is now in the process of completing and turning over her responsibilities which is expected to last until the end of the month,” Leyco said.
He also thanked Badoy for her contributions to DSWD
“I am confident that she will be able to bring her effectiveness as a communicator to her new assignment as Undersecretary at PCOO,” he said.
Badoy is the daughter of former Associate Justice Anacleto Badoy Jr.
A doctor by profession, she was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte to the DSWD so she could assist drug dependents in their rehabilitation.
