List of regular holidays, special non-working holidays in 2019

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has signed Proclamation No. 555, which lists down the regular holidays and special non-working holidays in 2019.

Under the proclamation, declared regular holidays were:

  • New Year’s Day – January 1
  • Araw ng Kagitingan – April 9
  • Maundy Thursday (for Catholics) – April 18
  • Good Friday (for Catholics)- April 19
  • Labor Day – May 1
  • Independence Day – June 12
  • National Heroes Day – August 26 (last Monday of August)
  • Bonifacio Day – November 30
  • Christmas Day (for Catholics) – December 25
  • Rizal Day – December 30

Declared special non-working holidays were:

  • Chinese New Year – February 5
  • EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary – February 25
  • Black Saturday (for Catholics) – April 20
  • Ninoy Aquino Day – August 21
  • All Saints Day (for Catholics) – November 1
  • Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary (for Catholics) – December 8
  • Last Day of the Year – December 31

December 24, or Christmas eve for Catholics, and November 2, which Catholics call All Souls Day, were also declared non-working holidays.
