Johnny Depp and the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean surprise Disneyland Paris visitors

CHESSY, France (Reuters) — Disneyland Paris rolled out its red carpet on Sunday (May 14) for Walt Disney Studio’s latest outing of “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Hundreds of fans lined up to watch the pirate-themed show in front of the iconic sleeping beauty castle and tried to catch a glimpse of stars Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Javier Bardem. A surprise for most visitors, as they were not warned in advance of their visit.

The film’s co-lead, Bardem, who took on the role of Captain Salazar, the villain, told Reuters TV that he based his character on rage, and how to bring this anger in Salazar’s body language.

Along with Bloom and Geoffrey Rush joining once again the Pirates of the Caribbean adventure, two fresh faces made their appearance: previously known for her role in Skins as Effie, Kaya Scodelario, and Brenton Thwaites.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released on May 26 in the United States and in Europe on May 24.
