Legazpi court bars Daraga, Albay Mayor Baldo from traveling abroad

(Eagle News) — A Legazpi regional trial court has issued an order barring Daraga, Albay Mayor Carlwyn Baldo from traveling abroad.

According to Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete, the precautionary hold departure order against Baldo stems from the charges filed against him in connection with the killing of Rep. Rodel Batocabe.

Murder and frustrated murder charges have been filed against the mayor, who police said was the mastermind in the killing, and six others in connection with the incident that also saw his security escort killed and several injured.

Police also seized his white Isuzu Alterra.
