QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Kerwin Espinosa expressed his gratitude to the National Bureau of Investigation when it released the results of its investigation in the death of his father, former Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa.
The younger Espinosa said that he is convinced that his father was killed in a “rubout” and not in a “shoot-out”.
He was transferred to the NBI’s custody before midnight Wednesday, at around 11:30 p.m., according to NBI spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin.
He also underwent medical check-up before he was brought to the NBI’s detention facility.
“He is stable and he had no complaints,” Lavin said.
