SEOUL, South Korea (Reuters) — South Korea’s leading pop duo TVXQ is returning to the show business after their discharge from the mandatory military duty for the last two years.

The duo featuring Max Changmin and U-know Yunho held a news conference at a Seoul hotel on Monday (August 21) as their first media event since Changmin finished his military duty last Friday. Yunho completed his service in April.

South Korean men are subject to mandatory military service for about two years.

To make up for its two-year absence, TVXQ has schedule to make a three-nation “Asia Press Tour” starting with Seoul and scheduling to hold another news conference in Tokyo later in the day and Hong Kong on Tuesday (August 22).

S.M. Entertainment plans to release Yunho’s solo track “Drop” and Changmin’s new solo song during the final week of September which is dedicated as “TVXQ” week by the agency.
