He thanked Indonesia President Joko Widodo and the chief of the Indonesian police for giving the medal of honor, which he said was “doubly significant” for him.

Apart from Dela Rosa,  the Minister for Home Affairs of Singapore, Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police, Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Inspector General of the Royal Malaysia Police, the Commissioner of the Singapore Police, and the  Director of the Internal Security Department of Singapore received the award.
