Two other Filipino films were included in the Madrid International Film Festival, namely “Tomodachi” and “Sekyu”, both films by noted director Joel Lamangan, who also directed the INC bio-epic “Felix Manalo.”

Walang Take Two director Carlo Jay Ortega Cuevas, who won in London’s International Film Festival, was in fact nominated for best director in the Madrid filmfest, along with the veteran Lamangan for the film “Sekyu” (The Guard).

In the best cinematography category, “Walang Take Two” was also the only Philippine entry to be included in the nominations.
