President Aquino issued Proclamation 815 declaring the year 2014 as the Iglesia Ni Cristo Centennial Year in the Philippines.
The said proclamation recognizes Iglesia Ni Cristo’s significant contributions in the attainment of spiritual maturity as well as developments in the religious aspect of the country from July 27, 1914.
The government also recognized the Iglesia Ni Cristo Centennial Celebration as a World Event due to the fact that the Iglesia Ni Cristo has been established in 110 countries, thus being recognized as the most widespread “home-grown” Christian church. Also recognized are the Church’s contribution to the society and the community.
