‘Hapi Ang Buhay’ screens in Japan

TOKYO, Japan (Eagle News) – More than 400 guests attended in the special screening of ‘Hapi Ang Buhay’ Season 2 in Itabashi Culture Hall, Tokyo, Japan on Nov. 26.

The screening was part of ‘Hapi Ang Buhay’’s Asian tour. A number of screenings have been held in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, and Japan.

It will be followed by more screenings in other Asian cities and in the Middle East.

The purpose of the screening was to provide wholesome entertainment, instill moral values, and to share good examples of dealing with the challenges of life through the use of creative film.

Viewers were delighted to have watched the movie, which is a sequel-spinoff of ‘Walang Take Two.’

‘Walang Take Two’ was nominated at the 2016 International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema for best comedy.

‘Hapi Ang Buhay’ was directed by Carlo J. Cuevas who won as best director in a foreign language film at the 2016 International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in London for ‘ Walang Take Two’.

The cast and production team of both ‘Hapi Ang Buhay’ and ‘Walang Take Two’ all came from various INCinema-produced films.

They were all winners in the previous Excellence in Visual Media or EVM Awards of various INCinema productions.

‘Hapi Ang Buhay’ tells the story of a typical urban Filipino community as it encounters many timely social issues.
