First Gen Corporation was recognized as the “Green Company of the Year” by ADEC Innovations at the 2017 Asia CEO Awards at the Marriott Grand Ballroom held last October 17, 2017.

ADEC Innovations Chief Operating Officer for Asia, David Young and General Manager-Philippines, Jurgen Tanpho were present at the ceremony to honor the winner.

Now on its fourth consecutive year, the ADEC Innovations Green Company of the Year award recognizes corporate and non-corporate organizations that exemplify strong leadership and commitment in sustainability and environmental protection.

First Gen Corporation, a subsidiary of First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPH), with stake in power generation and distribution, infrastructure, manufacturing, and property development, joins the ranks of past awardees, which include Imperial Homes Corporation (2016), E-motors Corporation (2015) and San Carlos Solar Energy (2014).

The finalists of the Green Company of the Year category are ASKI Global, Aral Pinoy, Concentrix, First Gen, Global Gateway, Knowles and Solar Philippines.

Launched in 2010, the Asia CEO Awards aims to showcase the ASEAN region as a premier business destination. The event is one of the largest business awards annually held in the Philippines, and the largest event of its kind in the Asia Pacific region.

ADEC Innovations has received its own share of recognition from the Asia CEO Awards. It was recognized as the Technology Company of the Year in 2014, through its member company, Envirosite Corporation, and was awarded the Executive Leadership Team Award in 2013. Also in 2016, its Co-Founder and CEO James Donovan, was adjudged as Expatriate Executive of the Year.
